The War of the Gods (Belgariad)

The War of the Gods (Belgariad)

The War of the Gods is an event in David Eddings' The Belgariad and The Malloreon.

It began when the God Torak came to the Vale of Aldur to speak with Aldur about a source of immense power named the Orb of Aldur. They had an argument and Torak struck Aldur and ran off with the orb.

The other Gods urged Torak to give the Orb back, but when he refused, a great war started between Torak with his Angaraks and the other Gods and their peoples. When Torak and his army were defeated, he took up the orb and caused the Cracking of the World.
