Helen Richey (dancer)

Helen Richey is a former competitive ballroom and latin dancer and is currently a dance coach and judge. She is also currently appearing as a judge in the Australian television series "Dancing with the Stars".

Richey was born in Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia and travelled to the United Kingdom with her husband Robert for dance training and international competition experience. The couple stayed in the UK for 27 years before returning to Australia in June 2000. Her competitive dance career highlights include coming second at the UK Professional Latin Championship, and third at the World, the International and the British Professional Latin Championships. She and her husband were finalists in the British Professional Latin Championship for seven consecutive years.
