Revolutionary Internationalist Movement

Revolutionary Internationalist Movement

The Revolutionary Internationalist Movement is an international Communist organization which upholds Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.

Founded in 1984, the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement seeks to unite the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist parties of the world into a single political tendency. The RIM believes that the Maoist strategy known as People's war is the most effective strategy for Marxist revolution in the developing world and actively supports parties waging people's war.

The RIM publishes a theoretical journal called "A World To Win".

The Revolutionary Internationalist Movement was founded at a conference in March 1984. Founding parties were:

Members today

Many of these organizations are defunct or have changed their names over the years as their strength has grown.

The Communist Party of Nepal (Masal) left over differences of political line, but a (now much larger) group, the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), is a member.

Indian member organisations amalgamated into the Communist Party of India (Maoist), which is not currently a member.

New forces have also entered the RIM's fold in the following years, including the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan.

Armed conflict

Of the RIM's participating member organizations, the Maoist Communist Party (Turkey) and the Communist Party of Peru (Shining Path) are currently engaged in armed conflict. The RIM also supports revolutionary wars led by the Communist Party of the Philippines and by the Communist Party of India (Maoist).
