Francis Whatmough

Francis John Whatmough was a first class cricketer who played 7 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1878 and 1882. He was a right arm fast round arm bowler who took 5 wickets, with a best of 3 for 58 against Nottinghamshire, at an average of 22.20. He scored 51 runs, with a best of 20 against Gloucestershire, at 5.10. he took 4 catches in the field.

He was born on December 4, 1856 in Saltaire, Shipley, Yorkshire and died on June 3, 1904 in Rastrick, Yorkshire. At birth he was registered as Francis John Whatmuff.
