Frank B. Bridges was the head football coach at Baylor University from 1920 to 1925. During his tenure, he compiled a 35–18–6 (.644) record. His winning percentage ranks third in school history, behind R. H. Hamilton (5–1–1) and Bob Woodruff (19–10–2). In 1921 and 1922, he led the Bears to back-to-back 8 win seasons. From 1927 to 1929, he coached at Hardin-Simmons University where he posted a 16-13-4 record. He left coaching with a 51-31-10 career record.

Bridges won the school's first two Southwest Conference championships in 1922 and 1924. Baylor would not win another until 1974.
