It was released in May 17 2007 on Japan. The game is also the sequel to the "Shining Tears" game, with an upgraded interface. The main characters from "Shining Tears" will appear in "Shining Wind" as well. An anime adaptation of the game, along with its prequel, called "Shining Tears X Wind", began airing in early April 2007. Like its predecessor "Shining Tears", this game is illustrated by the renowned hentai artist Tony Taka.
