Sheldon Johnson

Sheldon Johnson (born March 25, 1954) is an American politician in Minnesota. Johnson, a Democrat, represents district 67B in the Minnesota House of Representatives, which includes parts of the Dayton's Bluff and Battle Creek neighborhoods of Saint Paul, Minnesota. He chairs the House Telecommunications Regulation and Infrastructure Division.

Johnson was first elected in 2000 (when incumbent Steve Trimble, also a Democrat, did not seek reelection), defeating Democrat Aly Xiong in the primary election and Republican Scott Zimmer in the general election. He then defeated Republican Ken Lehman in the 2002 general election; Green Roger Alton Westall, Independence Party John Klein and Republican Gregory W. Le May in the 2004 general election; and Le May again in 2006.

Johnson was born March 25, 1954, in Braham, Minnesota. He graduated from Braham High School, attained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Bethel College, and attained a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of Saint Thomas. He is Presbyterian, single, and has two daughters.
