Lieutenant General Robin Vaughan Brims CB, CBE, DSO was Commander of the Field Army at Land Command from 2005 to 2007.

Robin Brims was commissioned into The Light Infantry in 1970. After various military appointments he took command of 3rd Battalion The Light Infantry from 1989 to 1991. He then took up an appointment at the Ministry of Defence before taking command of 24 Airmobile Brigade from 1995 to 1996 deploying to Bosnia as part of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps in 1995.

He went on to be Chief of Staff at Headquarters Northern Ireland and then Director of Plans & Resources. In 2000 he was appointed Commander of the Multi-national Division (South West) in Bosnia and in 2002 he became General Officer Commanding 1st (UK) Armoured Division which deployed to Iraq. For his service in Iraq he was given the Distinguished Service Order (DSO).LondonGazette|issue=57100|supp=yes|notarchive=yes|startpage=4|date=30 October 2003|accessdate=2007-12-19] In 2003 be became Deputy Chief of Operations at Permanent Joint Headquarters, Northwood, before becoming Commander of the Field Army in 2005. He retired from that post in August 2007.
