Tauntons College is a further education college in Upper Shirley, Southampton. It has existed for over a century and until the late 1980s/early 1990s occupied what is now the University of Southampton's Avenue Campus in Highfield. It then merged with Hill College and relocated to its present site in Hill Lane, adjacent to King Edwards School. Roughly one thousand students attend Tauntons. Subjects offered include art, music, and a range of A-Levels. The Public Services Diploma course is particularly well regarded. Students also participate in a range of extracurricular activities, including regular work programmes in rural Tanzania, which students fundraise for themselves.

Tauntons has recently had a planning application approved which will involve demolishing most of the existing buildings and replacing them with a new college complex.fact|date=June 2008
