Le'Ron McClain (born December 27, 1984 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) nicknamed "Smiley", is an American football fullback for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Ravens in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Alabama.

Early years

He played high school football at Tuscaloosa County High School.

Professional career

He was drafted with the 137th pick during the 4th round in the 2007 NFL Draft. He signed with the Ravens on July 27, 2007. He scored his first career touchdown on a Kyle Boller pass against the San Diego Chargers on November 25, 2007. He finished his rookie season with eight carries for 18 yards, nine receptions for 55 yards, and 1 touchdown. He started off the 2008 regular season with a career high 86 rushing yards, and two catches for 24 yards.

In 2008, with a new coaching staff, Le'Ron split carries with rookie Ray Rice when Willis McGahee was ruled out of the game. Le'Ron rushed for a career high 86 yards and in his next game rushed for 2 touchdowns, solidifying McClain as a top fullback in the NFL.
