Brent "Buzz" Williams is the head coach for men's basketball at Marquette University. [cite news|url=http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3335281|title=Marquette picks assistant coach Williams to replace Crean|publisher=ESPN] Williams took over as head coach on April 7, 2008 following former head coach Tom Crean's move to Indiana University. He served as head men's basketball coach at the University of New Orleans during the 2006-2007 season, and has also served as an assistant coach at Texas A&M, Colorado State, Northwestern State, Texas A&M Kingsville and The University of Texas at Arlington. Buzz grew up in Van Alstyne, Texas. He earned a bachelors degree in Kinesiology from Oklahoma City University in 1994 and a Masters in the same field at Texas A&M-Kingsville in 1999. Buzz is married to Corey Norman. He has one daughter (Zera), and two sons (Calvin & Mason).

Buzz, known for his being a recruiting ace, has recruited a top 5 recruiting class for the 2009-10 season. This class includes Junior Cadougan, Jeronne Maymon, Erik Williams, and Dwight Buycks.
