Hold Your Plums

Hold Your Plums

"Hold Your Plums" was a radio quiz show which ran for over a decade on BBC Radio Merseyside. It was hosted by Billy Butler and Wally Scott [cite web |url= http://www.bbc.co.uk/liverpool/fun/2002/07/hold_your_plums/plums_index.shtml |title= BBC Liverpool website|accessdate=2007-05-01] .

Billy always ensured that everyone got the answers right by giving clues, but the contestants still got the questions wrong. It’s basically a phone-in quiz show for the very confused (and for people taking the mickey on purpose).

This show and the tapes were (and are) a mainstay of Liverpudlian culture and humour.
