Paweł Frenkiel

Paweł Frenkiel (Frenkel) (1920-1943) (Hebrew פאוול פרנקל), Polish Jewish youth leader in Warsaw, was of the senior commanders of the Jewish Military Union or the ŻZW.

Frenkiel was born in Warsaw, Poland. At the age of 18 he joined the revisionist Zionist youth movement Betar. Together with Dawid Moryc Apfelbaum he was a leader of war department in ŻZW. During the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, Frenkiel commanded the headquarters of the ŻZW in Muranowski Square in building #7 where the fiercest battles of the uprising took place. He was killed in action.
