Faroese puffin

Puffin is a speciality of the Faroe Islands particularly popular on the island of Mykines. There are millions of puffins in the Faroe Islands, and in autumn it is legal to catch them.

The Faroese word for puffin is "lundi". A popular and much loved Faroese cartoon character is the bespectacled puffin known as Ludvik Lundi.
