Theodore Roosevelt High School is a high school in Fresno, California. It is a part of the Fresno Unified School District. The mascot is the Rough Riders, after the 1st U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment, the Rough Riders, Teddy organized and helped command during the Spanish-American War. The colors are green and gold. The school opened its doors in 1928 as both a junior and senior high school. It now is a 9-12 grade school. Every fall the football team plays the "Pig Game", fostered by a longstanding rivalry with fellow historic high school, Fresno High.

Roosevelt is located in south central Fresno, near the historic downtown district. Roughly 2700 attended in 2006. This is down substantially from the 1990's when the school often housed 4000 students. Many of its students are immigrants from Mexico and Southeast Asia. 36.59% are English learners. Roosevelt has many programs to serve its students, including AVID tutoring, Powerschool and Migrant Ed.

Roosevelt School of the Arts

The Roosevelt School of the Arts is a district-wide magnet school program established in 1984, offering students in-depth specialized training in performing, visual, and media arts. Awards and recognition

Roosevelt High School was recognized by the California State Board of Education in 1996 California Distinguished School Award.
