Thomas Scott "Flip" Phillips (born February 22 1973, in Valdosta, Georgia) is the drummer for Alter Bridge, and is the former drummer for Creed.

Phillips joined Alter Bridge with fellow former Creed members Brian Marshall and lead guitarist Mark Tremonti in 2004. He is a self-taught drummer, starting at age 18, and has also played piano and keyboards as well as the saxophone. On Creed's 2001 album "Weathered", Phillips is credited with playing drums and keyboards.

He now lives in Central Florida with his wife April, and their daughter, Cadence.

Plays 'Premier Player's series with Gen~X Shells' Drums, Zildjian cymbals, Evans heads, Gibraltar hardware, DW9002 pedals and DW5000 Hi-Hat stand, and Scott Phillips signature drum sticks by Vic Firth.

Phillips cites the following drummers as his influences: Will Calhoun (Living Colour), Matt Cameron (Soundgarden/Pearl Jam), Lars Ulrich (Metallica), John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), and Neil Peart (Rush).
