James Merlino

James Merlino

James Anthony Merlino (born: 19 August, 1972) is an Australian politician, currently serving as the member for Monbulk in the Victorian Legislative Assembly, representing the Australian Labor Party.

Merlino was first elected at the 2002 election "Brackslide" defeating Steve McArthur. Merlino comfortably retained his seat at the 2006 and was allocated with the Sport, Recreation and Youth Affairs Ministry and a place in cabinet. Under Brumby's government he retains the as said ministries and has a new roll of Minister Assisting the Premier on Multicultural Affairs [cite web
