Saving Private Ryan is the original soundtrack, on the DreamWorks Records label, of the 1998 Academy Award- and Golden Globe-winning film "Saving Private Ryan" starring Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Giovanni Ribisi and Tom Sizemore. The original score was composed by John Williams and performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus.

The album won the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition Written for a Motion Picture or for Television and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Music - Original Dramatic Score (lost to the score of "La vita è bella"), the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score (lost to the score of "The Truman Show") and the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music (lost to the music of "Elizabeth").
