FC Târgovişte is a Romanian football team from Târgovişte, Dâmboviţa County founded in 1950. They are now playing in Liga II Serie I. In the 2007-2008 season they finished eight, with 47 points,in Serie II however.They were moved because three of the relegated teams from Liga I were from the west and were going the play in Serie II,leaving both of the series with an unequal nuber of teams.Since Târgovişte is slightly in the middle of the country,not quite completely in the east or west,they were moved in order to re-balance the two parallel divisions.
