"The Morning Show" is a high rating Australian morning talk show that premiered on the Seven Network on 18 June 2007. The show airs between 9am and 11am weekdays and follows its predecessor and spin-off breakfast news program, "Sunrise", both closely interlinked. The show is hosted by Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies. The show's format is similar to its sister program "Sunrise" and consists of a mix of news, entertainment and information along with audience interaction through email, SMS and talkback. The show also features live and pre-recorded advertorials similar to those featured in rival shows "Mornings with Kerri-Anne" and "9am with David and Kim", which are hosted by radio personality Glenn Wheeler. Seven News reader Ann Sanders presents news updates at 9:30am and 10:30am. The show is produced by the same team as "Sunrise" and broadcast live at the same Martin Place studio. The Morning Show returned in January 2008 for its second season.

Regular Segments

The show begins with a live cross from the "Sunrise" team in Martin Place to Larry and Kylie inside the studio. They begin by asking the daily question, which is the question they want viewers to email in their responses. The first segment also contains the "Clip of the Day", and one or two live crosses or interviews regarding the news stories of the day.

Musical performances take place at roughly 9:50am. Guests can be of a smaller profile than those that appear on "Sunrise". Unsigned artists are also encouraged to send in a demo CD for the potential opportunity to perform.

Each day at around 10am, in a similar style to Sunrise's "All-Stars" segment, two commentators are featured as part of "The Jury" on "The Morning Show".

Monday: journalist John Mangos and commentator Suzanne Mostyn
Tuesday: radio announcer and comedian Amanda Keller and radio announcer Brendon 'Jonesy' Jones
Wednesday: radio announcer Chris Smith and journalist Helen McCabe
Thursday: radio announcer Adam Spencer and journalist Kate Cox
Friday: actress Lynne McGranger and comedian Tom Gleeson

A regular segment follows at 10:20am. On Mondays, senior citizens Vince & Betty visit the studio to give out "life advice" to viewers that have called in. On Thursdays, "Beat The Stylist" takes place, where viewers are given the chance to compete against a fashion stylist at dressing models for a certain occasion. Media personalities act as judges to decide the winner. On Friday's Anna McPherson gives her opinion on all things related to "Modern Manners."

An international cross to a celebrity gossip correspondent follows at 10:30am. The show finishes with Larry & Kylie saying goodbye outside in the plaza.

Generally, six advertorials are shown throughout the show.

Jo Lamble also regularly joins Kylie & Larry on the couch with one or more of the viewers for a one-on-one personal counselling session. The Segment is called the "Counselling Couch," it's almost always on after the 9:30am news.–
