Athletics

The students at Alleman Catholic are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities – including varsity athletics. The school considers the athletic experience to be an important part of students' overall development and is proud that upwards of 68% of the student body participates in interscholastic athletics. The foundations of Alleman's athletic programs are hard work, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership taught along with an implicit curriculum of faith. Alleman hopes their students will realize and maybe exceed their athletic skills while learning life lessons as a result.

Alleman High School works hard to maintain proper perspective that a student-athlete is a student first and athlete second. Their goal is athletic success along with greater aspirations of cultivating young people to achieve success both in and out of school.

Alleman High School competes in the Illinois High School Association's Class AA category. Available for the male students is baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, track & field, and wrestling. Female students have cheerleading, basketball, cross country, gymnastics, the Emeralds dance team, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball available. The school's mascot is the Pioneer.
