Chromitite

Chromitite with bronzite phenocrystss from Stillwater Igneous Complex

Chromitite is an igneous cumulate rock composed mostly of the mineral chromite. It is found in layered intrusions such as the Bushveld Igneous Complex in South Africa and the Stillwater igneous complex in Montana.
