Alvimar de Oliveira Costa

Alvimar Perrella de Oliveira Costa, (born on 1961, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais) is currently the president of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais and he has been reelected for an additional three-year term, which started in 2006 and will end in 2008. Under him Cruzeiro have successfully won the following titles, when commanding the club's football department: Campeonato Mineiro 1997, Copa Libertadores de América 1997, Campeonato Mineiro 1998, Recopa Sudamericana 1999, Copa Centro-Oeste 1999, Copa dos Campeões Mineiros 1999, Copa do Brasil 2000, Copa Sul-Minas 2001, Copa Sul-Minas 2002, Supercampeonato Mineiro 2002. He has also won the Campeonato Mineiro 2004 and Campeonato Mineiro 2006 as the club's president.

He participated of six of the eight years of Zezé Perrella's Cruzeiro administration. In 1997, he took over the Football's Superintendency, and was the club's vice-president in 1999, without leaving the Football's Superintendency.

He is also the only president in the history of Brazilian football to win the triple crown. No doubt that so far he has been a great president at Cruzeiro.

Personal life

Besides being Cruzeiro's thirtieth president, Alvimar de Oliveira Costa is also a rural producer, and a transportation and refrigeration businessman. He is also the current vice-president of Sinduscarne, the Minas Gerais state meat industry syndicate.
