2 Puerto Ricans, A Black Man And A Dominican was a short-lived house-music group featuring David Morales and Robert Clivillés (Puerto Ricans), David Cole (Black), and Ralphi Rosario (Dominican). In 1987, it scored a hit in dance clubs with its only song, "Do it Properly," the only release on Grooveline Records. Clivillés and Cole later recorded a sequel on Vendetta/A&M Records and started C+C Music Factory.
"Do It Properly" was covered again by the original C+C vocalist Deborah Cooper in 2000 for DJ-Producers Peter Rauhofer and Victor Calderone, which won the first Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
