He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler and once took 11 for 47 in a state under-17 match which broke the state record set byJohn Scholes . He is a former member of Latrobe Cricket Club in Gippsland. Over the last two years, Siddle has become one of the preferred pace bowlers in the Bushrangers squad and has been touted by some as a possible future member of the national team.Peter Siddle plays for CV Premier Grade team Dandenong and played a pivotal role in Dandenong's first Premiership in Premier Cricket.
After touring India with Australia A, Peter Siddle was named in Australian's 15-man squad for the four-Test tour of India on September 12, as back up to established bowlers
