Astro Ceria is a 24-hour Malay language television channel that is broadcast on the Astro satellite television service. This channel is dedicated to toddlers and children alike. It was launched on August 31, 2006, making it Malaysia's first ever television channel dedicated to kids.

All of Astro Ceria's programmes are taken from various countries that broadcast their cartoons in English, Malay and Indonesian language. Uncommonly, some programmes on Astro Ceria were originally broadcasted in Spanish but literal translation is also provided. Viewers are able to watch the cartoons on Astro Ceria in two languages; in Malay, which is the default language for all the shows on Astro Ceria or in the original language the programme was broadcasted in. Subtitles are not available on Astro Ceria at the moment.

Astro Ceria has organised several activities for children of all ages to increase its popularity among other television networks. Once, Astro Ceria's "Run for Fun" marathon was held between the month of February and April.

How to find the channel

Astro Ceria is available in Malaysia on Astro via Channel 611 (Formerly channel 64, then channel 24). In Indonesia, Astro Ceria is available on Astro Nusantara via Channel 10.

The crew

The Astro Ceria team is headed by its General Manager for Malaysia & Indonesia - Naresh Ramnath. Azlin Reza Azmi is the Channel Manager for Malaysia. The Indonesian core team comprises Hanseen Wang, Yudi Permana Sukma , Indro Pasaribu & Mutiara Marta Lena who spear head operations in Indonesia. The Astro Ceria On Air Promo Team is headed by Abid Hussain for Malaysia and Indonesia.

Astro Ceria has become the no.1 kids channel in Malaysia within only the first year of its launch.
