Two ships of the United States Navy have borne the name USS "Lapon", named after the lapon, a scorpion fish of the Pacific coast of America.

*USS|Lapon|SS-260, was a "Gato"-class submarine, commissioned in 1943 and struck in 1975
*USS|Lapon|SSN-661, was a "Sturgeon"-class submarine, commissioned in 1967 and struck in 1992
