Frank Gay Clarke

Frank Gay Clarke (September 10, 1850 - January 9, 1901) was a U.S. Representative from New Hampshire.

Born in Wilton, New Hampshire, Clarke attended Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, and Dartmouth College in Hanover. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1876, commencing practice in Peterboro.

He served as member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 1885. He was appointed colonel on the military staff of Governor Hale and served in that capacity from 1885 to 1887. He served in the New Hampshire Senate in 1889. Clarke was elected again to the State house of representatives in 1891 and chosen speaker of that body.

Clarke was elected as a Republican to the Fifty-fifth and Fifty-sixth Congresses and served from March 4, 1897, until his death in Peterboro, January 9, 1901. He was interred in Pine Hill Cemetery.
