Peyman Askari Nejad

Dr. Peyman Askari Nejad (July 25, 1977 in Tehran, Iran), is a Dubai based structural engineer. He is noted for his contributions to the designs for some of the world's tallest projects in United Arab Emirates like Princess Tower, Marina 101, Elite Residence, Infinity Tower, Wind Tower-I, Wind Tower-II.

Dr. Peyman received his bachelor’s degree from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran in 1998 while placing first in his college. He pursued his advanced studies at the same University. He earned his Master's in structural engineering specialized in structural design and a PhD in structural engineering specialized in earthquake.

Career

*He began his career as a site technical engineer with Tehran Berkley Construction Contracting Company.
*Mayor advisor with Tehran District One Municipality.
*As a project manager with Geno Consultancy Engineer, Tehran.
*Chairman with Feyavaran Consultancy Engineer, Tehran.
*As dean of the Civil Engineering department with Int. Academy of Arts, Sciences & Technology, Knowledge Village .
*Head of structural division with Farayand Consultancy Engineer and CBM Engineers Inc.

In 2005, Dr. Peyman established PGB Engineers, a structural engineering firm in London. PGB Engineers now plans to broaden their reach to Middle East and have opened a regional office in Dubai recently. Peyman has been serving the company as the CEO since its establishment.

Professional Achievements

*Chairman of seismic committee of high-rise & complex building in International congress on seismic retrofitting (March, 2006).
*Article award concrete deep beam using perforated steel plates, 7th International conference on multi-purpose high-rise towers and tall building, in Dubai (December, 2005).
*Article award on concrete & technology, Malaysia (April, 2005).
*Elected as an outstanding researcher of the year, award given by the President of Iran in recognition of science and research activity (March, 2002).
*Design of high-rise building award, presented by the Ministry of Housing & Municipality of Iran ( [May 2001).
*Best article on water resources of the year award, presented at the 2nd International symposium by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting. (June, 1999)
*Standing First World University Students Olympiad, University of Toronto, Canada (February, 1997)
*Research and science award, presented at the seminar on civil engineering and architecture at the technical faculty of Islamic Azad University of Iran. (December, 1999)
