"Hate It or Love It" is the title of St. Louis rapper Chingy's fourth studio album. It was released on December 18 2007. It is his second album with the Disturbing tha Peace label.Kevin C. It was released in the US in a regular edition as well as a rare limited edition with a bonus DVD featuring interviews, live footage and the making of/video for "Fly Like Me". The album was released in Japan (limitedly- not on amazon.com or amazon.co.uk) with 2 bonus tracks "Ain't No Way" & "Remember When". The album did not get released in the UK, this is Chingy's first album to not be released in the United Kingdom.

Production

In an interview with MTV News on June 25, 2007, Chingy stated, "I just worked with Cool and Dre, Scott Storch, I'll probably go in with Timbaland, Kanye West, and Just Blaze to name a few." He has also recorded tracks for DTP's upcoming album Strength in Numbers.

During his appearance of the November 23rd edition of 106 & Park, he mentioned Ludacris, Trey Songz, Rick Ross, Amerie, Anthony Hamilton & Bobby Valentino to make appearances on the album.

Chart Performance

The album debuted at a disappointing #84 on the charts, selling a mere 31,000 copies. The St. Louis rapper's first three albums all managed to debut in the Top 10. Poor promotion and timing with the release of "Fly Like Me" have been blamed for the album's downfall and inevitable failure.

The import version of the album (U.S) was at one time being sold for £2.99 on UK website www.hmv.com. It reached as high as #3 on the 'top 10 hip-hop albums chart' so shifted quite a few copies of the import version although when the price went back to normal, it quickly dropped off the chart and no official UK release of the album has materialised.

The first official radio single is Fly Like Me featuring Amerie. The second single was announced by his Myspace and will be Gimme Dat Feat. Ludacris and Bobby Valentino.

The video premiered on February 8, 2008 on TRL, 106 & Park And Yahoo Videos.

On February 5, 2008 the video leaked on to the internet.

The Third Single will be Spend Some featuring Trey Songz which was announced recently.
