footnotes = ¹ The Duchy of Livonia was a vassal to the Grand Duchy of Lithuania until the Union of Lublin in 1569, and after that a part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

The remainder of Polish Livonia was named the Inflanty Voivodeship afterwards till First Partition of Poland in 1772.

The seat of the voivode was Wenden (Cēsis). Voivodes of Wenden include Joachim Tarnowski (1627-1641), Tomasz Sapieha (1641-1643), and Gerard Denhoff (1643-1648).
