Football Association of Serbia

The Football Association of Serbia (Serbian: Фудбалски савез Србије / "Fudbalski savez Srbije" or ФСС/FSS) is the governing body of football in Serbia, based in Belgrade.

It organizes the football league, the First League of Serbia, the Serbia national football team, as well as the Second Leagues.

FSS replaced the Football Association of Yugoslavia, which was founded in 1919 in Zagreb and inherited the Football Association of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006.

Javier Clemente has been appointed the first ever coach of the Serbia National team. Since December 2008, the head coach of the national team is Miroslav Đukić.

After receiving 150 proposals, in December 2006, commission has decided to accept solutionsubbmited by the Belgrade Architect mr.Nikola Vujisich.Fact|date=July 2007Next to new Serbian Army symbols, Serbian Football Federation has revivedthe smallest element of the Serbian COA. The white cross and 4 firesteelers are on a red background shield, with the golden frame and golden ball in the middle of the cross.Cyrilic name of the country-Srbija- is above in white on golden background. Flag of Serbian Football Federation is blue, with the golden fringe for indoor use, and the new emblem in the middle.

Trivia

In 1945, in first Yugoslav League Championship after World War II, Football teams of Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia and JNA (Yugoslav army, later FK Partizan) were the only teams in the league, and team of Socialist Republic of Serbia was the champion.
