The Theatre for the Performing Arts is a 7,000 seat theater located in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

History

The theater was the only part of the complex retained during the 1996 reconstruction. The Aladdin and the theater gained international attention on July 18, 2004 when Linda Ronstadt was escorted off the property after expressing support for documentary filmmaker Michael Moore during a concert performance. The Theatre was the host of the Miss Universe 1991, 1996 and Miss America beauty pageants, and will host the Miss USA 2008 pageant in April 2008.
