Guillaume de Chanac [Guglielmo de Chanac.] (died 1383) was a French Benedictine who became a Cardinal [From 1371 [http://www.fiu.edu/~mirandas/consistories-xiv.htm] ; bishop of Frascati in 1383.] .

He was abbot at Beze, and then was abbot at Saint-Florent from 1354 to 1368 [ [http://perso.orange.fr/saumur-jadis/methode/chro1337.htm] , [http://perso.orange.fr/saumur-jadis/recit/ch7/r7c.htm] .] . He was bishop of Chartres and then bishop of Mende, for brief periods up to 1371.

He supported the Collège de Chanac Pompadour in Paris [ [http://mayvth.club.fr/chanac.html Famille Chanac ] ] , named after his great-uncle of the same name.
