Salvatore Murdocca

Salvatore "Sal" Murdocca is a children's book illustrator.

He illustrated two Muppets books published by Western Publishing under their Little Golden Books name: "Oscar the Grouch's Alphabet of Trash" (1977) and "Grover's Own Alphabet" (1978).

His largest body of work is in illustrating Mary Pope Osborne's on-going "Magic Tree House series" published by Random House since 1992. As of the end of 2008, there will be 40 titles in the series released.

Mudocca illustrated two books by Andrew Clements: "Double Trouble in Walla Walla", a picture book published in 1995 by Millbrook Press, and the hardcover version of the novel "The Landry News", published in 1998 by Simon & Schuster. The paperback version is illustrated by Brian Selznick.

From 2000 to 2004, he illustrated the ten book "Third-Grade Detectives" series written by George E. Stanley published by Simon & Schuster.
