Worcester Cathedral Voluntary Choir is an all male choir founded in October 1874 [ [http://www.worcestercathedral.co.uk/index.php?pr=Voluntary_Choir Worcester Cathedral welcomes you to their Website ] ] . Since its inception it has provided a strong backbone to the music of the Cathedral, supporting the main Cathedral Choir. The choir's treble line is comprised of boys from 6-14, most of whom live in the local area, whilst the lower parts are made up of older gentlemen, most of whom previously sang as trebles in their youth. The choir generally sings the 6:30pm Evensong on a Sunday.
