"Walking on the Milky Way" is the name of a song by the British New Wave band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. It was released as a single, and a month later on the 1996 album "Universal". It was Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark's first single since 1993.

The song speaks wistfully of the glory days of youth but cautions that one cannot turn back time.

The song "Mathew Street" is about the location for Eric's Club in Liverpool, where Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark made their first public performance. The single peaked at #17 on the UK Singles Chart.
