Grand Bruit, Newfoundland and Labrador

Grand Bruit is a Canadian community on the southern coast of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Located east of Channel-Port aux Basques, Grand Bruit is suffering from depopulation related to changing economic and demographic conditions in rural Newfoundland.

As of 2007, it has an aging population of less than 100. The last school in the town closed its doors on June 22, 2007 as the last students from the town graduated from elementary school.
