John Lee Hooker Junior

John Lee Hooker Jr is a blues musician, born in 1952, the son of the late John Lee Hooker. Firmly grounded in blues, Hooker's style is markedly modernized, featuring contemporary arrangements and lyric phrases like "I got a text message late last night, and when I read it I couldn't go back to sleep."

In 2008 Hooker toured with a backup band consisting of George Lacson (Bass), Jeff Horan (Guitar), Mike Rogers (Drums), and Brian James (Keys).

His new album, All Odds Against Me, is set to release on August 16th 2008. Many of the tracks reflect the demons he's faced in his life. One track in particular, Extra-marital Affair, does not apply to Hooker Jr., but instead depicts an affair had by his keyboard player while they were on tour.
