Ghaziabad district, Kunar Province

The Ghaziabad district is situated in the western part of Kunar Province, Afghanistan and was part of Nurgal district. It borders with Nangarhar Province to the west, Chapa Dara district to the north, Chawkay district to the east and Nurgal district to the south. The population is 16,500 (2006). The district center is the village of Ghaziabad (coord|34.7158|N|70.7592|E|) at 1271 m altitude. The area is mountainous and there is not enough arable land. Many people work in Pakistan.
