Buglawton

Buglawton

"Buglawton" is a suburb of Congleton town. It was formerly a village, but Congleton expanded outwards to incorporate it. Its name is from the Anglo-Saxon words "Buga" which was a personal name and "Hlawton" which means a settlement. So its name means "Buga's settlement".
