"Sister Madly" is a 1988 song by rock group Crowded House. It was the fourth single from the group's second album "Temple of Low Men". [Bailey, Marck; [http://www.etext.org/lists/house/ch-discography.html Comprehensive discography] of Crowded House including track listings for all albums and singles. Released 28 March, 1995. Retrieved 5 July, 2007.] "Sister Madly" was the first Crowded House single to never appear on any charts and this trend followed with the next three singles from "Temple of Low Men".

The Song contains a solo by guitarist "Richard Thompson (musician)"

A live version of the song later appeared on Crowded House's Special Edition Live Album that accompanied selected copies of the group's greatest hits compilation "Recurring Dream". It was also performed at the group's farewell concert "Farewell to the World".

"Sister Madly" is said to be about Neil Finn waking up to find his sister having a nightmare.

Chart performance

"Sister Madly" is the first Crowded House single that never entered into any chart internationally. The following singles ("Into Temptation" and "I Feel Possessed") did not chart either, leaving the album "Temple of Low Men" considered the least commercially successful album due to the low success of the singles it spawned.
