St Peter's Church, built in 1840, is the oldest Roman Catholic parish in New York City. The present pastor is Fr. Kevin Madigan. The building was damaged during the September 11, 2001, attacks [ [http://www.nyc-architecture.com/LM/LM074.htm NYC-Architecture.com] ]
