"Trivia" is a genus of small sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Triviidae, the trivias.

These are known in Britain as "cowries". The shells do superficially resemble those of small ribbed cowries, but "Trivia" species are not very closely related to true cowries.

The genus "Trivia" has recently been split into many genera, including "Cleotrivia", "Niveria", "Pusula", "Trivirostra" etc, but this information is not yet shown in the species list below.

hell description

Shells of this genus are mostly small, oval or rounded, of cowry-shape, with the outer lip incurved to form a narrow denticulate aperture.

The sculpture is of transverse ribs which are sometimes interrupted by a dorsal groove.
