The U.S. House election, 1992 was an election for the United States House of Representatives in 1992 which coincided with the election of Bill Clinton as President. In spite of Clinton's victory over incumbent George H. W. Bush, his Democratic Party lost a net of nine seats in the House to the Republican Party, in part due to the redistricting from the 1990 US Census.

The Democrats nonetheless retained a majority in the House and Senate, and with a new Democratic President, they seemed to be in a position of great strength. However, this would change in the 1994 election.
