Castlewood Canyon State Park

Castlewood Canyon State Park is a state park near Franktown, Colorado. The park protects a little part of Colorado's history of the burst of the Castlewood Canyon Dam in 1933. Remnants from the convert|15|ft|m|0|sing=on wave that struck Denver can still be seen in the park today. There are hiking trails, and rock climbing opportunities in the park. The historic Cherry Creek Bridge is located within park boundaries.

Within the northernmost extension of the Black Forest, Castle Wood Canyon encompasses convert|2136|acre|km2|0 with elevations ranging from 6,200 to convert|6600|ft|m|-1.
