Pookkottur

Pookkottur village is one of the many villages that dot the periphery of Malappuram town. It is prominent as the centre of Moplah Rebellion of 1921 that shook the British Administration in the erstwhile Malabar District of Madras Province.

Now it is a Village under the Eranad Taluk.
