Scott Davis (figure skater)

Scott Davis (born January 29, 1972 in Great Falls, Montana) is a two-time U.S. Figure Skating Championships gold medalist. After winning his first national title in 1993, he defeated 1988 Olympic gold medalist Brian Boitano to win the 1994 title. In the years following, Davis suffered from vertigo and had problems with his jump consistency. Although he continued to compete until the 1998 season, after 1995 he never again qualified for a World or Olympic team. After turning professional, he appeared in an ice show production of the musical "Grease".

Known for his extraordinary spinning ability, Davis was coached by Kathy Casey in Colorado Springs and Galina Zmievskaya in Simsbury, Connecticut. He is currently coaching in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where his students include Vaughn Chipeur.

Davis is an ISU Technical Specialist.
