Dawda Bah (born November 12, 1983 in Banjul, Gambia) is a football striker from Gambia who currently plays for FC Augsburg.

Football career

Bah played in the Gambian League, with Banjul Hawks, until in 2005 moved to Finnish First Division club KPV. He became a key player for the second their club and was the best goalscorer in the division. Successful season was spotted by Veikkausliiga clubs, but Bah stayed in Kokkola for the next season. Belarussian club FC MTZ-RIPO had offered 200.000 euros for Bah, but he refused to move to Belarus. He also visited Norwegian Odd Grenland, but did not get a contract offer. In January 2007, Bah visited Algerian club USM Blida, but the clubs could not agree on the transfer fee.

Bah started the season 2007 with KPV, but moved to Helsinki when Veikkausliiga club HJK loaned him for the season. He debuted in a UEFA Cup match against FC Etzella of Luxembourg and scored a goal. Later the capital city club bought him from KPV and signed a three-year contract with Bah. In 2009 Bah was one of the most important features in the Finnish title winning side HJK Helsinki, scoring 8 times and assisting 8 times in 25 league games. In 2010 Bah has continued showing his importance for HJK Helsinki, both in the Finnish league and the Champions league qualifications. Due to his good performances he was given a two-year extension to his current contract on 2 September 2010. His new contract runs until 2012.

FC Augsburg

From August 2011 Dawda Bah signed a contract with FC Augsburg on a 3 year deal.

International career

Bah is a member of Gambia national football team. He debuted in the Scorpions in 2000 against Marocco and is still called up for the team.
