The Rafael Gonzalez House is a National Historic Landmark (NHL), in Santa Barbara, California. The NHL Statement of Significance, written in 1970, reads:

Built about 1825 by Don Rafael Gonzales, this one-story house with two one-room wings, covered verandas, and a tile roof is typical of Mexican-era adobe town houses of moderate size. Its main section is about 90' by 18', the adobe walls at least 2' thick. Covered verandas extend along both long sides of the house.

It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1970.citation|title=PDFlink| [http://pdfhost.focus.nps.gov/docs/NHLS/Text/70000149.pdf National Register of Historic Places Inventory-Nomination: Gonzalez House] |32 KB|date=September, 1975 |author=Patricia Heintzelman |publisher=National Park Service and PDFlink| [http://pdfhost.focus.nps.gov/docs/NHLS/Photos/70000149.pdf "Accompanying four photos, exterior, from 1960 and 1975"] |32 KB]
